Photo's of some of my favorite animals taken at The Cleveland Zoo and The Rainforest Exhibit at the zoo.As you can see,the Great Blue Herons are among my favorite to photograph.Also, are many shots taken in my former home in Monterey Bay california.I was so lucky to have lived there for 22 years.Going back next year for some whale watching.I cant wait to photograph them.Enjoy these creatures!!!

These are the HAPPY cows of California.They are on a hillside looking out over the Pacific Ocean on the Big Sir Coast on Monterey bay.They looked very contented.This is a three shot panoramic stitched together in photoshop.

I was driving thru Pebble Beach,17 mile Drive when I saw this horse thru a fence and stopped,doubleparked and took the shot.I liked how the setting sun shown thru his mane.Pebble Beach has some of the most expensive homes in Calif.The property which this horse lives on is probably the largest piece in Pebble beach.In the 70's this land had Llamas,Zebra's and other exotic animals living there!!Unbelievable!!

A large Calif Sea Lion.He was sort of the lookout for around 50 or 60 sea lions who were resting in the Moss landing inlet.I got too close to them and he let me know I shouldnt come any closer.I didnt!!I guess they can move pretty fast and have been known to chase people across the sand.I backed off!!

My favorite creatures.The Calif Sea Otter.he was playing in Moss landing Harbor.They are so cute but also very large and have razor sharp teeth.

An Egret stalking some dinner at Point Lobos State reserve.Actually walking lightly on the kelp.The water is very deep right where he was hunting for food!!!

California Sea Otter at rest.These guys usually wrap themselves in Kelp so they wont drift off with the current.This guy is just taking a quick nap!!Flippers folded.They usually try to eat 20 to 25% of there body weight to stay warm.Groups sleep close together in the kelp beds at night.Wonderful creatures!!
